Orlen is conducting extensive audits and investigations into actions by the previous management under Daniel Obajtek. So far, over 50 audits have been completed, with 50 more ongoing, covering activities from 2016 to 2024. The investigations focus on major projects, including mergers, asset sales, and questionable expenditures.
Key findings include losses of over 5 billion PLN due to mismanagement and fraudulent activities, misuse of company funds for personal expenses, and suspicious partnerships. The company has filed eight complaints with prosecutors, and several legal proceedings are ongoing. Additionally, Orlen is scrutinizing employment practices, procurement processes, and the legality of business operations in related subsidiaries.
