In Kraków, the average salary is the highest in Poland at approximately PLN 10,071.40. However, to purchase a 40-square-meter apartment, according to August real estate price lists in cities (Otodom Analytics data), a resident would need to save half of their salary for over 10 years for a new build, and 11 years for a secondary market property. In Warsaw, where the average salary is around PLN 9,874.81, the savings period is even longer, at about 11 years and 4 months for new apartments and 12 years and 6 months for used ones.

In contrast, in Rzeszów and Zielona Góra, residents need to save for only 7 years and 8 months. Despite lower prices in Gorzów Wielkopolski, the savings period remains lengthy at 7 to 8 years. The analysis highlights the challenging relationship between wages and housing prices across Polish cities.
