In June 2024, Poland's manufacturing PMI remained at 45.0 points, unchanged from May 2024, according to S&P Global. The sector continued to experience contraction for the twenty-sixth consecutive month, marking the longest downturn since 1998. Production, new orders, exports, and employment all declined sharply, while purchasing activity fell for the twenty-fifth consecutive month. Despite weak demand, there was little inflationary pressure, with both input costs and output prices slightly decreasing from May. The report noted a faster decline in production offsetting slower drops in new orders, employment, and input stocks, along with less noticeable reductions in supplier delivery times.
