Stellantis, owner of brands like Citroën, Fiat, Jeep, Opel, and Peugeot, has partnered with Quanta Energy to decarbonize its Polish facilities. The project includes 58 MW of photovoltaic farms supplying energy to four Stellantis plants in Gliwice, Skoczów, and Tychy. The initiative will feature Central Europe’s largest carports with nearly 7 MW capacity.

Using 94,300 solar panels across 54 hectares, Stellantis aims to boost energy independence. A 2 MW solar farm in Tychy was completed three months ahead of schedule and has been operational since January. The next phase includes battery energy storage (BESS), targeting 56% energy self-sufficiency. The investment cuts CO₂ emissions, enhances energy security, and reduces operational costs, strengthening Stellantis’ sustainability strategy.
