The WSE has plans for 2022

The Warsaw Stock Exchange closes the year with 48 debuts: 16 on the Main Market (the highest number since 2016) and 32 on the NewConnect market (the highest number since 2013).
The largest IPO in terms of the value of IPO this year was achieved by the Pepco Group (PLN 3.7 billion) and was among the top ten largest European IPOs in the second quarter of 2021. Huuuge Inc. can boast the second most valuable debut on the WSE in 2021(PLN 1.67 billion), and the third Grupa Pracuj (PLN 1.12 billion).
The ambitions of the WSE for next year, in the context of the increase in the number of IPOs, are even greater. The Warsaw Stock Exchange is primarily interested in innovative companies – including foreign ones – from the new technologies, biotechnology, energy, e-commerce, and gamedev industries.
At the beginning of 2022, the start of GlobalConnect – the stock market of foreign companies – listed on stock exchanges in Western Europe, and ultimately also in the USA, is planned. Listing on GlobalConnect will take place during the trading session on the WSE and in the Polish zloty. An interesting technological initiative of the Warsaw Stock Exchange is also the WSE Private Market project, offering new investment opportunities and trading in non-financial assets, such as precious metals and works of art.
