Trading volume of stocks on the WSE down in May
In May 2023, the total value of stock trading on the Main Market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) amounted to PLN 22.5 billion, which is a decrease of 8.2 percent compared to the same period the previous year. The value of stock trading through the order book decreased by 8.6 percent y/y to PLN 22.2 billion, as reported by the exchange.
The average daily value of stock trading through the order book amounted to PLN 1,055.9 million, which is 8.6 percent lower than the previous year.
On the NewConnect market, there was an increase in the total value of stock trading by 4.5 percent y/y reaching PLN 184.9 million. The value of stock trading through the order book on the NewConnect market increased by 9.6 percent y/y and amounted to PLN 183.6 million.
On the GlobalConnect market, the value of stock trading in May was PLN 498,600.
