Andrzej Sterczyński, CEO of Unibep, says the company plans to enter the power transmission sector to benefit from a coming investment boom. Poland may see up to two trillion złoty in infrastructure spending across energy, transport, and major projects, prompting Unibep to diversify toward public sector contracts. The firm aims to participate gradually, initially through partnerships, due to high entry barriers. Energy projects, especially gas and cogeneration, are already driving profits. Key industry risks include labor shortages, rising material costs, and intense competition for contracts.

Sterczyński stresses that workforce availability is now a bigger challenge than inflation and calls for training programs and migration policies to support the construction sector.
