After a three-year investigation, Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) concluded that Asseco, Comarch, and Bestprojects did not violate antitrust laws in the hospital IT systems market. In 2020, UOKiK, with police assistance, searched the companies’ offices over suspected bid-rigging related to healthcare IT procurement tenders.

At the time, UOKiK suspected an agreement to divide the market and collude on tender outcomes. Following a thorough review of the evidence, UOKiK found no proof of bid-rigging or other anti-competitive practices. Tomasz Chróstny, UOKiK’s president, stated that while the investigation cleared the companies, the agency will continue monitoring the hospital IT systems market to address any future irregularities.
