US Cities Top Millionaire Rankings

Which city has the most resident millionaires with at least $1 million to invest? In 2024, New York City ranked first, according to the latest "World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2024" by Henley & Partners, in collaboration with global data analytics firm New World Wealth.
The total wealth of New York City's residents now exceeds $3 trillion, more than the combined wealth of most major G20 countries. Nearly 350,000 millionaires and 744 centimillionaires (those with investable assets exceeding $100 million) live in New York City. The city is also home to 60 billionaires.
Second place goes to San Francisco and the Bay Area. The region has seen one of the highest wealth growth rates in the world. Over the past decade, the number of millionaires there increased by 82 percent – currently, the area hosts 305,000 millionaires, 675 centimillionaires, and 68 billionaires. Eleven US cities are in the top fifty of the ranking.
Tokyo takes third place. Japan's capital was the richest city in the world 10 years ago, but the number of wealthy individuals has decreased by 5 percent over the decade. Now, Tokyo has "only" 298,000 millionaires.
