ZPL: leasing market increased by 13.5% in first half of ‘24

In the first half of 2024, Poland's leasing market grew by 13.5% year-over-year, with expectations to reach PLN 115 billion by year-end, a 12% increase, according to the Polish Leasing Association (ZPL). Leasing companies provided PLN 54.2 billion in financing, with vehicles accounting for 73% of this, followed by machinery and equipment (23%), and real estate and other transactions (4%). Light vehicle financing surged by one-third, while heavy vehicle financing declined due to economic challenges in the Eurozone.
ZPL expects that economic recovery and rising private investments, especially from SMEs, will support continued growth in the leasing market throughout 2024.
