The Russian operator Transneft said that Homeltransnafta Przyjaźń (Belarusian operator of the Druzhba pipelines) has been suspending the pumping of oil towards Poland for four days from noon on June 9. The reason is work on the Belarusian section of the pipeline.
On May 8th, it was reported that Transneft will adjust the schedule of deliveries via the Druzhba pipeline due to problems at the Budkovice pumping station in Slovakia. The company stated that technical problems of one of its crude customers caused a drop in supplies through Budkovice, which is expected to last for two days.
The Druzhba pipeline enables the transportation of crude oil to Poland via the eastern route. Its eastern section begins at the Polish-Belarusian border and connects the Adamowo depot with the Miszewek Strzałkowski depot via three 240 kilometer-long lines with a total nominal capacity of 56 million tonnes/year.
