Intraco tower to go

One of Warsaw’s earliest skyscrapers, the Intraco tower, will be demolished. Owner Polski Holding Nieruchomości (PHN) has launched a tender for the demolition, with plans to build a modern, energy-efficient office building on the same site by 2030.
The new building will maintain the original’s 107-meter height and 33,000 sq m of area, but offer higher ceilings, more spacious floorplates, and better energy performance. It will feature photovoltaic façades, bike infrastructure, and top-tier environmental certifications, including BREEAM and WELL.
Intraco’s outdated design—especially 2.8-meter ceilings that prevent proper cooling—prompted the decision. The new version will include 23 taller floors, a skybar, and commercial units on the ground floor. Demolition will begin after tenants vacate in 2025, and will require precision due to the site's proximity to the metro and the neighboring Intraco Prime.
The project reflects a broader trend of upgrading Warsaw’s aging office stock.
