Min Fin: Polish economy looking at a breakthrough year
Andrzej Domański, Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy, said that 2025 was a “breakthrough year” for the Polish economy, but stressed that the country must now accelerate growth. The key priority is boosting investment, especially private investment, which he described as the main engine of long-term economic growth. While public investment should play a supportive role, it must generate maximum local content rather than replace private capital.
Domański highlighted record investment growth in the third quarter, GDP growth approaching 4%, and a record 17.4 million people employed. Poland also joined the world’s top 20 economies and was invited to work within the G20. Looking ahead, the minister emphasized innovation, regulatory stability, lower energy costs, and better conditions for domestic firms as essential to sustaining faster growth in 2026 and beyond.
