Polish State Railways (PKP SA) has launched a new investment program, Passenger-Friendly Stations (DPP), covering 181 stations nationwide with 183 projects worth PLN 1.4 billion net (1.72 billion gross). The initiative will fund modernizations, new builds, repairs, and equipment upgrades, with work starting this year. About 60% of spending will target towns under 50,000 residents, improving accessibility beyond major cities. Funding will mainly come from selling PKP PLK shares to the State Treasury, though other sources may expand the program.

Selection was based on passenger traffic, transfer functions, heritage protection, and demographic needs. Alongside major overhauls, smaller upgrades will quickly raise service standards. PKP also continues projects from its 2016–2023 investment plan.
