After 25 years on the Polish fashion market, Vissavi is closing its brick-and-mortar stores in shopping malls due to falling profitability. Founder Agata Blok cites a combination of factors: the Sunday trading ban, the COVID-19 pandemic, rigid lease terms in malls, and an imbalance between large property owners and small tenants. Lockdowns extended lease contracts despite sharply lower foot traffic, leading to heavy losses at several locations. Rising energy, labor, and production costs, along with competition from Asian e-commerce platforms and global fast-fashion chains, further eroded margins.

While physical stores are being phased out, Vissavi continues to operate online, and the owner is considering selling the brand in hopes of giving it a new future.
