Fuel prices in Poland are expected to fall next week due to declining global oil prices and hopes for a ceasefire agreement in the Persian Gulf region, according to analysts at Reflex. Diesel prices are forecast to drop by around PLN 0.30 per liter, falling below PLN 7 again, while gasoline prices may decrease by about PLN 0.25 per liter and LPG by PLN 0.08 per liter.

Current average prices are PLN 6.42/l for regular gasoline (Pb95), PLN 6.92/l for premium gasoline (Pb98), PLN 7.20/l for diesel, and PLN 3.76/l for LPG. Forecast prices for next week are expected to reach PLN 6.17/l for Pb95, PLN 6.67/l for Pb98, PLN 6.90/l for diesel, and PLN 3.68/l for LPG.

The decline is linked to lower oil and fuel prices worldwide, despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz. Analysts also note that lower fuel prices could encourage the Polish government to eventually phase out temporary tax reductions on fuel, although geopolitical risks still make that unlikely in the near term.
