10% of Poles possess more than half of all wealth in Poland

Currently, 116,000 millionaires live in Poland, while the number of Poles whose assets exceed $100,000 amounts to 3.24 million, according to the latest, tenth edition of the Global Wealth Report 2019 prepared by the Swiss bank Credit Suisse.
This means that dollar millionaires account for only 0.2% of Polish society. This result is similar to that achieved in other countries of the region (in the Czech Republic and Romania the percentage is 0.1%). For comparison, in Germany dollar millionaires account for 4.7% of society. In the UK and China, it is 5.3% and 9.5% respectively.
In Poland, 10% of the richest people own more than half (56%) of all wealth. For comparison, in Russia, the richest 10% of society owns 83% of all private property in the country. This is more than in the US (76%) and China (60%).
