Green construction needs money, but should start with eduction

The green transformation in construction faces resistance due to costs and new obligations, making education as crucial as financial incentives. At the European Economic Congress, experts emphasized the need for local governments and businesses to collaborate, especially in building "one-stop shops" to simplify access to funding and contractors.
Poland’s "Clean Air" program, targeting 6.3 million single-family homes, has been reformed with mandatory ecological monitoring. New ESCO support programs will fund deep retrofits of public buildings. Technology, including smart building management systems, can reduce energy use by 20–30%. However, a lack of unified carbon footprint methodologies and supportive legislation continues to slow progress, risking Poland’s future competitiveness in green construction.
