'I disagree with Macron. Giving Putin a chance is immoral': Aleksander Kwaśniewski

The concept of giving Putin a chance to save face seems to me irresponsible and even immoral. The war will end when the Russians themselves realize that it is unwinnable, and Putin will de facto lose face in the eyes of his compatriots, former President Aleksander Kwaśniewski stresses.
In an interview with EURACTIV.pl, the former president pointed out that if Putin's preservation of face were to consist in accepting aggressive Russian policy and war crimes, it would be absurd and extremely dangerous for the future of the world.
"All right, saving face – but what does that mean? That we absolve Putin and his team of responsibility for war crimes? Do we give him immunity in this matter? We don't demand war reparations from Russia, i.e. a share of that reconstruction fund that could help Ukraine? After all, someone ruined it all, someone shelled it all. The bridges, roads and airports were not destroyed by 'green men', but, as we are well aware today, by the Russian army sent in on Putin's orders. Therefore, this idea of giving Putin a chance to save face seems to me irresponsible, even immoral," Aleksander Kwaśniewski said.
