Mirbud, a construction company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, has completed its acquisition of Kielce-based specialist construction firm Transkol for PLN 77.5 million. The payment will be made in two installments: PLN 30 million upon signing the agreement and the remainder by February 14, 2024, using the company’s own funds. Transkol focuses on building, renovating, and modernizing railway stations, tracks, and sidings.

The acquisition aligns with Mirbud's strategic plan to expand into railway construction, preparing the company to bid for larger railway contracts. Poland’s PKP PLK plans to invest PLN 20 billion in railway infrastructure over the coming years, presenting significant opportunities for major contractors like Mirbud.
