Percentage of online buyers increased to 69.7% in last year

In 2025, 69.7% of Poles aged 16–74 made online purchases, up 2.3 percentage points y/y, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). Internet shopping was more common in cities (73.8%) than in rural areas (63.7%), though the gap narrowed slightly. The highest urban participation was in the Mazowieckie region (82.1%), and the lowest rural rate was in the eastern region (54.2%). Internet access reached 96.2% of households, with a rise in mobile broadband (78.2%) and a small decline in fixed broadband (70.3%). Meanwhile, 61.1% of people used e-government services, mainly for filing taxes and accessing official documents online.
Digitalization continues to advance across Poland, with steady growth in e-commerce and public digital services.
