PM Tusk: there is no reason to worry about Poland running out of fuel
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the conflict in Iran will not cause fuel shortages in Poland in the near term. Speaking at a press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, Tusk stressed there is currently no reason for concern regarding fuel supplies or storage. However, he warned that the consequences of a prolonged war are unpredictable.
Tusk also said the government will ensure no company, including Orlen, profits excessively from the crisis, although Poland cannot influence global fuel prices. Since attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran began, Brent crude has surged from below $70 per barrel to around $104, briefly reaching $117.
