Number of active enterprises increased by 4.3% y/y in Q4 ‘25
The number of active businesses in Poland reached 2.91 million in Q4 2025, up 4.3% y/y, according to the Statistics Poland. Microenterprises with up to nine employees dominated the market, accounting for 95.9% of all companies and growing 4.6% y/y. Small and medium sized firms represented 3.4% and 0.6% respectively, while large enterprises made up 0.1% of the total.
The largest share of companies operated in trade and vehicle repair (17%), followed by construction (15.2%) and professional, scientific and technical services (13.8%). The Masovian Voivodeship had the highest concentration of businesses, with 20.2% of all active firms. The fastest growth occurred in administrative and support services, where the number of companies increased 18.2% y/y.
