Poland and Turkey used high-level talks in Ankara to reinforce economic and strategic cooperation ahead of next week's NATO summit, underscoring how the relationship between the two countries has evolved beyond security concerns into a broader commercial partnership. Officials highlighted that bilateral trade has already exceeded the previously announced target of USD 10 billion annually and indicated that both governments would like to see that figure increase further in coming years. Areas identified for deeper cooperation include defence manufacturing, logistics, transport infrastructure, energy and industrial investment.

For Polish businesses, Turkey remains one of the largest and most accessible non-EU markets, offering a domestic market of more than 85 million consumers and serving as a gateway to the Middle East, Central Asia and the Caucasus. At a time when companies across Europe are looking to diversify supply chains and export destinations, Ankara's growing importance to Polish policymakers suggests commercial links between the two economies are likely to become significantly stronger.
