20th Edition of Infoshare. Technology, Startups, and Business Celebrated in Gdańsk

Nearly 6,000 guests, a record number of speakers, and 7 stages dedicated to technology, AI, marketing, and inspiring startups. The anniversary edition of the Infoshare festival, the largest to date, was, however, primarily about the energy of people who come for knowledge, new contacts, and business inspiration.

The opening ceremony of the 20th edition of the Infoshare festival gathered distinguished guests and several thousand spectators at Gdańsk's Amber Expo. Grzegorz Borowski, CEO and Co-founder of Infoshare, used this opportunity to summarize the journey the event has taken—from an IT enthusiasts' gathering at the Gdańsk University of Technology to one of the largest technology and business events in Central and Eastern Europe.

“Since the first conference in 2007, we have hosted over 72,000 attendees and nearly 2,000 speakers, even from Australia. And the number of stages created during this time exceeds 100. Yet, the most important element in all of this is the exceptional people,” said Borowski.

Support for Polish Entrepreneurship

The ceremony was attended by Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, the Mayor of Gdańsk, who emphasized Infoshare's uniqueness and how 20 years of conference experience helps drive the technological revolution in both Gdańsk and across Poland. A special video message from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization, Krzysztof Gawkowski, was also aired.

“Today, innovation is no longer just a choice. It is a condition for the competitiveness of the state, the economy, and companies. The real question is therefore: not whether to implement new technologies, but how to do it wisely, quickly, safely, and, of course, responsibly,” said Gawkowski.

A historic moment also took place during the opening of Infoshare. A letter of intent for cooperation to develop innovation and strengthen the competitiveness of the Polish economy was solemnly signed. The signatories were:

  • Aleksandra Dulkiewicz – Mayor of Gdańsk
  • Piotr Matczuk – President of the Management Board of Polski Fundusz Rozwoju (Polish Development Fund)
  • Mirosław Kamiński – President of the Management Board of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone
  • prof. Józef Sienkiewicz – Vice-Rector of the Gdańsk University of Technology
  • prof. Michał Żmijewski – Vice-Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk
  • prof. Paweł Antonowicz – Vice-Rector of the University of Gdańsk

Support from the local government, business organizations, and universities will further strengthen Infoshare's position and that of the entire Pomerania region as popularizers of new technologies and as a source of support for innovative businesses.

Knowledge and Inspiration

The 7 stages of this year's Infoshare were filled with dozens of lectures and presentations that inspired further meetings and conversations among participants. To start, the audience was captivated by a conversation with writer Jacek Dukaj about the end of the era of the written word, the impact of AI on changes in the human-system relationship, and a vision of the world in 10 years.

Each stage had an original theme, allowing participants to move between lectures, discussions, and workshops on the use of AI and modern marketing, delve into deep tech topics, or listen to inspiring startup stories. This year, a record number of 221 speakers, panelists, and hosts with diverse specializations presented. The full list is available on the festival website, and some of their speeches will be made available online in the future.

One of the elements that has distinguished Infoshare from other technology events for years is the extensive space for networking and building business relationships. This year's edition hosted over 2,500 1:1 business meetings. This makes the festival a place where it is easier to make contact, and relationships turn into ideas, projects, and partnerships.

Startups Awarded at Infoshare 2026

Infoshare has been creating a space to promote young companies from Pomerania and all of Poland for years. Nearly 200 companies applied to the two startup competitions this year, and the prize pool totaled PLN 180,000. The jury selected 20 finalists who presented themselves in the special Innovation Village zone and had the opportunity to meet potential investors and establish new business relationships.

The main prize of the Gdansk Bay Tech Ecosystem Startup Competition 2026 went to Rattlesnake, a Gdańsk-based company building modern, economical systems to combat drone threats.

In the nationwide startup competition at Infoshare, the winner was Uhura Bionics, a company building innovative speech-generating devices that are extremely helpful for people who have lost their voice, for example, as a result of cancer or larynx surgery. The special prize, however, went to Spineo, which creates posture-improving solutions.

A list of all awarded companies is available on the websites of the Pomeranian competition and the nationwide startup competition.

Twenty Years of Building a Technological Community

The 20th edition of Infoshare was also an opportunity for celebration and summaries. In addition to a cake, the organizers prepared an anniversary film. This is the story of how four friends - Grzegorz Borowski, Tomasz Pawul, Andrzej Kiesz, and Marcin Pokojski - built something more than just another boring IT conference. They built a community. They built a place where people return every year. For genuine relationships and the exchange of experiences.

From the very beginning, we have been creating a platform where people meet and share their knowledge and experience, as well as help each other. This is our DNA, which we do not want to change. During the festival, anyone can approach anyone—the president of a large institution or a large company, an entrepreneur who has built a successful startup—and simply start a conversation with them,” emphasizes Grzegorz Borowski, CEO and Co-founder of Infoshare.

Must-Attend Event

This year’s jubilee edition of Infoshare was not only a celebration of technology but also a testament to how much the startup and innovation ecosystem in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe has developed over two decades. The Gdańsk festival has firmly entered the calendar of industry events as a place where people creating the future of technology and the digital economy meet.

Infoshare 2026 took place on May 20–21 at AmberExpo in Gdańsk. The main partner of the event was the City of Gdańsk.
