Photos of a redevelopment project by Arche in Otwock sparked controversy over new buildings surrounding the historic Dwór Bojarów. Critics argue the dense modern construction overwhelms the monument, calling it “overbuilt.”

The developer responds that such development is necessary to finance the costly restoration of the long-neglected site. The project aims to combine housing with social and intergenerational functions, with the restored manor as a cultural hub.

Authorities approved the plan, stating residential use is key to saving the property. Arche argues the current criticism reflects an unfinished construction phase, while the final design will include greenery and better integration with the historic setting.
