Fewer takers on Black Friday than a year ago

Interest in Black Friday promotions is slightly lower than last year. The number of people intending to take advantage of special offers on the last Friday in November has decreased from 63 to 56 percent. However, customers are still eager for bargains – especially on clothing, electronics, and cosmetics, and some intend to avoid inflation with them, according to a new SMS API survey.
"During Black Friday, electronics and clothing have always been the most popular items. These are high-margin products, quickly pushed off the shelves by new models or collections, so their retailers like to experiment with prices and do promotions. Many other industries are in a similar situation this year," Maja Wiśniewska, Marketing Manager of SMS API, noted.
"For stores, the only way out is to be proactive, not only by preparing a genuinely attractive offer for Black Friday, but also communicating it across multiple channels, especially those that reach regular customers," the SMS API expert added.
