The International Monetary Fund has significantly raised its growth forecast for Poland, marking one of the largest upward revisions among the 30 countries covered in its updated World Economic Outlook. Poland’s GDP is now expected to grow by 3.5% in 2026, up 0.4 percentage points from the October 2025 projection. The optimism is driven mainly by accelerated public investment, especially funds from the National Recovery Plan (KPO), increased defense spending, and energy-transition projects, alongside resilient consumer demand.

Globally, the IMF also sees stronger growth, supported by investment in technology and AI, despite trade tensions. However, Poland’s outlook for 2027 was revised down to 2.7%, reflecting a likely slowdown after the investment surge.
