Skanska preparing about 1,400 apartments in Warsaw
Skanska Residential Development Poland is entering Poland’s “lex developer” housing framework just before the law expires on July 1, launching two major residential projects in Warsaw. The company acquired sites on Bokserska Street in Służewiec and Bieżuńska Street in Targówek, planning a combined total of nearly 1,400 apartments.
According to CEO Bartosz Kalinowski, the acquisitions help replenish Skanska’s shrinking land bank, especially with large multi-stage projects. The Bokserska development, already advanced by the previous owner, will include around 750 apartments on former industrial land. The Bieżuńska project envisions about 630 apartments, retail space, green areas, and cooperation on a school for 400 children. Skanska says transforming former industrial and logistics sites into housing reflects Warsaw’s evolving urban needs.
