Ireneusz Raś, Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism: changes company to Polish tourism
Poland’s government is shaping a new tourism strategy focused on regulating short-term rentals, deregulating hotels, and strengthening the country’s global appeal. A national registry will monitor short-term rentals, while local governments will gain tools to limit them where they disrupt housing markets. Hotel regulations will be simplified to remove outdated rules and unify interpretations. The government is also developing support measures such as crisis vouchers and incentives for the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) sector. Plans include introducing a nationwide tourist fee, increasing promotion spending, and building a stronger national brand, targeting tourism’s 6.5% share of GDP.
Despite geopolitical tensions, inbound tourism is growing, though outbound and business travel segments face uncertainty.
