More and more companies from abroad investing in Polish companies
Polish companies are accelerating their international expansion, with new investments planned in Western Europe, the United States, Central Asia, Africa, and eventually Ukraine. PFR TFI’s Foreign Expansion Fund is seeing particularly strong demand for acquisitions and brownfield projects, while greenfield investments remain less common because they require more time and capital. Germany and the U.S. offer attractive takeover opportunities, while Uzbekistan is emerging as Central Asia’s most promising market for foreign investors.
The fund is also exploring projects in African food production and IT. Since 2016, PFR’s two expansion funds have signed more than 20 investment agreements in 15 countries and invested over €120 mln, although official data likely underestimate the true scale of Polish foreign investment.
