Poland still 25th in EU’s DESI ranking

Poland has maintained its 25th position in the European Union’s Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) ranking, the European Commission has said in a report. Poland obtained 41.6 points this year (compared to 38.8 points last year), while the EU average is 52.5 points (compared to 49.8 points in 2018).
“The level of use of mobile broadband services in Poland is the highest in the EU, but communication, the use of internet services and the integration of digital technologies are still areas with the greatest challenges. In the area of human capital and digital public services, there has been a slight improvement, but Poland is still below the EU average,” the report reads.
