Poles afraid of second wave of pandemic

As many as 48 percent inhabitants of our country are concerned about the return of the pandemic, and among women this percentage is 51 percent: these are the conclusions of a study commissioned by Dentsu Aegis Network Polska in June. The mood of Poles has improved compared to the initial period of the pandemic, but when shopping, a quarter reduces expenses, more than half focuses on products that meet basic needs, and most of those who plan a vacation will spend it in Poland.
“42 percent of the respondents declared that their professional situation had deteriorated, and more than half (54 percent) assessed that the financial situation of their household was worse compared to that before the coronavirus pandemic. It is particularly clear in the case of women,” Paulina Gadowska, Senior Research Analyst at Dentsu Aegis Network Polska, emphasized.
The restrictions introduced in the initial stage of the pandemic were very burdensome for Poles and almost half of the respondents are afraid that this situation will return. In most of the indicators for the future, the percentage of people who feel uncertain about this has increased. 67 percent of respondents indicated that they do not know whether their situation will worsen or improve. 35 percent of respondents agreed with the statement that the situation will never return to normal.
