Polish airspace breached twice

Poland’s military confirmed that its airspace was violated twice overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. Chief of the General Staff, Gen. Wiesław Kukuła, stressed that the situation was fully controlled and caused no consequences, crediting swift action and lessons learned from the August drone explosion in Osiny. He added that additional resources have been deployed to strengthen air defense.
Operational Commander Lt. Gen. Maciej Klisz said he requested decisions to shorten the reaction time of Poland’s air defense system. He underlined that the priority is protecting the public in peacetime, not destroying targets at any cost. “We act according to peacetime procedures, which focus on population safety,” Klisz said. The announcement was made during a press conference attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
