PM: Ukrainian citizens cooperated with Russia to sabotage rail in Poland
Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that two Ukrainian citizens cooperating with Russian intelligence were identified as perpetrators of two sabotage attacks on the Warsaw–Dorohusk railway line. Explosive damage and tampered tracks forced an emergency stop of a train with 475 passengers, and the incidents were deemed deliberate attempts to cause a rail disaster. One suspect was earlier convicted in Lviv for sabotage; the other, from Donbas, entered Poland via Belarus.
Tusk requested urgent diplomatic efforts to secure their transfer to Poland and confirmed ongoing coordination with allied security services. Due to the threat, the government is introducing the Charlie terror alert level on selected railway routes.
