Taiwan seeks Poland partnership
Taiwan sees Poland as a strategic bridge to EU and Ukrainian markets and wants to work together on Ukraine’s reconstruction, Deputy Economy Minister Cynthia Kiang said at the Rebuild Ukraine fair in Warsaw. She noted that 31 Taiwanese firms joined this year’s event—double last year’s number—offering products in ICT, renewable energy, construction, engineering and machinery. Companies represented included ASUSTek, MICROIP, Creative Sensor, TECO Electric & Machinery, FREE Bionics and OSCAR EDM.
Kiang highlighted Poland’s strong technological base and said Taiwan aims to combine its ICT strengths with Polish capabilities for reconstruction projects.
Poland’s Deputy Development and Technology Minister Michał Jaros added that Polish firms see opportunities in construction, energy, infrastructure, technology and medical products. He stressed that beyond contracts, companies expect reforms in Ukraine to support investment. Joint ventures with partners from Taiwan and Japan, he said, could give Polish firms access to cutting-edge technologies.
