Poland’s digital shift
Poland’s transition to fully digital public administration is accelerating as adoption of the Electronic Document Management system (EZD RP) expands. From January 1, 2028, all entities performing public tasks will be required to use the platform, designed to cut paper use, lower operating costs, and streamline workflows. Public sentiment supports this direction: Eurobarometer 2025 shows 78% of Poles believe digitized services would significantly improve daily interactions with institutions.
According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs, more than 1,300 entities already use EZD RP, with usage expected to double by mid-2026. A further 1,200 institutions are in the onboarding pipeline. The system now has over 47,000 active users and has processed more than 3.3 million cases.
Implementation challenges remain, particularly preparing the runtime environment and securing infrastructure across on-premises and SaaS models. Experts note that successful deployment is essential to Poland’s wider digital-transformation goals.
