In the third quarter of 2025, 3,629 attempts to fraudulently obtain loans were recorded in Poland, totaling PLN 78.3 million, according to the infoDOK report by the Polish Bank Association. On average, a fraud attempt occurred every 36 minutes, or more than 39 cases per day. The average attempt was worth PLN 16,600, though the largest reached PLN 1.5 million. The 10 biggest attempts accounted for 14% of the total value, showing that criminals increasingly target high-value loans.
