Warsaw city councilors have approved a location resolution allowing Echo Investment to redevelop the former Tesco site in Kabaty, Ursynów, into a large residential complex with retail and service units. The project, submitted under Poland’s “lex developer” law, envisages eight apartment buildings with 380–410 units, ground-floor commercial space, parking facilities, a Park&Ride lot, and extensive bicycle infrastructure. Located next to the Kabaty metro station, the site offers excellent public transport access.

The proposal sparked debate over building scale, traffic capacity, parking availability, school infrastructure, and the provision of shelters. Despite objections from some residents and opposition councilors, the resolution passed 34–23, clearing the way for further administrative steps toward construction of the new housing estate.
