BGK generated record PLN 484 bln support for Polish economy in ‘25
Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego generated PLN 484 bln in support for Poland’s economy in 2025, up 24% y/y and the highest in its history. Most of this funding went to energy transition projects.
The bank reported record capital and guarantee exposure of PLN 202 bln (+6.2% y/y) and net profit of PLN 3.2 bln (+11% y/y). Total assets reached PLN 300 bln, highlighting rapid growth over the past decade.
BGK plays a key role in distributing funds from the national recovery plan (KPO), with contracts worth PLN 87.1 bln signed by end-2025. It also supports defense financing and plans to expand funding for infrastructure, local businesses, and long-term social projects such as healthcare.
