Bringing Dogs to the Office Lifts Mood and Productivity, Say Studies

June 20 marks “Take Your Dog to Work Day,” and new research highlights tangible benefits of pet-friendly work environments. A global Mars and Calm survey found that 85 percent of Polish pet owners report improved mental health thanks to their animals, and 78 percent say pets remind them to take breaks – boosting focus and efficiency. Additionally, a CESAR study reveals that dogs in the workplace improve well-being, motivation, and employee mindset. In pet‑friendly companies, 93 percent of staff view the office more positively, while 87 percent of employers note that welcoming pets encourages a return to on-site work.
Mars Poland’s “Pets Work at Work” programme provides a model: designated dog zones, hygiene facilities, staff training, and respect for non‑pet-owners ensure harmony. Marzena Ignaczak from Mars Poland notes that “animals are silent guardians of our wellbeing,” easing stress and fostering community.
As more Polish firms adopt dog‑friendly policies – not just for the day – the trend demonstrates how four-legged colleagues can enhance workplace culture, well-being, and productivity.
