Chris Niedenthal exhibits his photographs in Blue City

From July 27, in Blue City, you will be able to see the work of the outstanding documentary filmmaker and photojournalism icon Chris Niedenthal.
We all know the iconic photo that Chris Niedenthal took during the martial law in Warsaw. The photo shows an armored personnel carrier standing in front of the “Mocsow” cinema,
in which the film by F.F Coppola "Apocalypse Now" was shown. Chris Niedenthal is a reporter and a witness of many events in Poland and around the world. The exhibition in Blue City will present large-scale political photos, as well as images from everyday life during the communist era.
Chris Niedenthal collaborated with the American weekly Newsweek, Time Magazine and the German weekly Der Spiegel. He won an award in the World Press Photo competition in 1986 for a portrait of the Hungarian leader Janos Kadar. He witnessed the uprising of "Solidarity" during the strike at the shipyard of Lenin in Gdańsk in 1980, as well as the introduction of martial law. Later he documented the fall of communism.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place on Monday, July 27 at 5:30 PM, and will be accompanied by a speech by Chris Niedenthal, who will talk about his work and the photos presented.
