Consumer watchdog accuses eBilet of misleading customers about ticket prices

The President of Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has accused an online ticket sales company eBilet of misleading consumers about the actual price of offered tickets. Since 2019, eBilet belongs to the Allegro group.
UOKiK analyzed over 300 offers available on the ebilet.pl portal and found out that each time a service fee was added to the price at the final stage. "Our findings so far show that the consumer has no chance to buy a ticket at a price defined as the minimum price,” the Office stated.
eBilet did not change its practices after the so-called soft speech. Therefore, UOKiK accused the company of violating collective consumer interests, and it may face a fine of up to 10% of annual turnover.
UOKiK said that Eventim and Ticketmaster also received a request to change their practices.
