DHL suspends delivery to US of shipments worth more than $800

DHL Express has suspended deliveries to the U.S. of parcels valued over $800 due to delays caused by new U.S. customs regulations introduced under President Donald Trump’s tariff system. Effective Monday, shipments from businesses worldwide to American consumers exceeding this value are halted until further notice. Business-to-business (B2B) shipments will continue but may face delays. Packages under $800 remain unaffected for now.
Previously, goods under $2,500 required minimal customs processing, but stricter inspections are now in place. The U.S. also plans to eliminate the de minimis exemption for low-value imports, especially from China and Hong Kong, affecting platforms like Temu and Shein. Hongkong Post has also suspended U.S. parcel shipments in response to rising tariffs.
