Dominika Stelmach Wins Antalya Ultra Trail

Polish ultramarathon runner Dominika Stelmach claimed a standout victory at the Antalya Ultra Trail, underlining her position among the world’s top endurance athletes.
Held in southern Turkey, the race spans dramatic terrain between the Mediterranean coast and the Taurus Mountains. Starting at sea level, runners navigate steep ascents, historic trails and high-altitude plateaus—conditions that test both stamina and strategy.
“Although the route is definitely not the easiest, completing it with the best result is incredibly satisfying,” Stelmach said after the race. “I maintained a strong pace throughout and didn’t let up despite having a lead.”
Stelmach dominated the 42-kilometer course, winning the women’s category and finishing second overall in the Open classification. The event drew 863 runners from across the globe, including 11 from Poland.
The race also highlighted Turkey’s growing profile as a hub for active tourism. The Antalya region—particularly Alanya—combines sport with cultural heritage, offering routes that pass landmarks such as medieval fortifications and the Red Tower, alongside forests and agricultural landscapes.
Stelmach travelled to the event at the invitation of Corendon Airlines, which continues to expand its presence in Poland with direct connections to destinations including Antalya and Heraklion.
Her latest win reflects both her consistency at elite level and the rising international visibility of Polish ultrarunners.
