During first year of deregulation campaign government received 500 proposals
Over the first 12 months of Poland’s deregulation drive, the government received more than 500 proposals to simplify the law from a team led by InPost CEO Rafał Brzoska, with 134 already implemented. The initiative began in February 2025, when Prime Minister Donald Tusk tasked Brzoska with leading economic deregulation. Hundreds of experts contributed, supported by the public platform SprawdzaMY, which collected over 16,000 citizen submissions — mostly on taxes, public administration, and healthcare. About 338 proposals were approved in principle, though many were rejected due to fiscal costs. Implemented changes include the presumption of taxpayer innocence and simpler administrative procedures.
Experts agree progress was real but incremental, arguing that deeper, systemic reforms are still needed for a meaningful economic impact.
