Erli files lawsuit against Allegro
Erli has filed a lawsuit against Allegro, accusing Poland’s largest marketplace of abusing its dominant position and engaging in unfair competition. Erli claims Allegro effectively forces sellers to maintain uniform prices across the internet by linking product promotion, discounts and participation in promotional programs to how prices are set outside Allegro. According to Erli, this practice pressures merchants to raise prices on their own websites and competing platforms, ultimately harming consumers and limiting competition.
Allegro strongly denies the allegations, stating it does not impose any pricing policy on sellers and that off-platform prices do not affect offer visibility on Allegro. The company argues the dispute concerns voluntary programs, such as Allegro Ceny and external advertising, which Allegro funds itself to support competitively priced offers. Allegro also suggests the lawsuit is retaliatory amid a broader legal conflict with Erli.
