In the second quarter of 2024, nominal hourly labor costs in Poland increased by 12.9% y/y, following a 14.1% increase in the first quarter and a 13.3% increase in the second quarter of 2023, according to Eurostat.
Wages grew by 13.0% in Q2 2024, while other compensation components rose by 12.6%.
Eurostat data shows that Poland's wage growth was the fifth highest in the entire EU.
In the industrial sector, labor costs rose by 10.1% in Q2 2024 after a 13.5% increase in Q1 2024, in construction by 14.2% after a 16.7% rise in Q1 2024, and in services by 10.5% following a 12.6% increase in Q1 2024.
