EY: 49% of surveyed companies disappointed after AI implementation
Nearly half of Polish companies have been disappointed with their artificial intelligence implementations, according to a study by EY. Although 77% of firms plan to increase AI spending within the next 18 months, 49% reported that the results of AI adoption fell short of expectations. Among them, 17% said they would not repeat the investment if they had known the outcomes in advance.
At the same time, many companies reported benefits from AI: 53% achieved lower costs, 52% improved service quality, and 49% increased revenues. However, experts warned that AI often remains a costly “gadget” when companies fail to define clear business goals. Most Polish firms are still at an early stage of AI maturity, with only 10% using AI to transform business models or create innovative products. The biggest barriers to successful implementation remain poor data quality and cybersecurity concerns.
