GNSS Jamming hits critical infrastructure
At the start of 2026, the security of communications and positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) systems has become a critical challenge for states and economies. The war in Ukraine and growing geopolitical rivalry have shown that jamming and spoofing of GNSS signals are no longer rare incidents but tools of hybrid warfare. Disruptions affect not only the military but also aviation, shipping, transport, energy, telecommunications, and finance, all of which rely on precise timing. The response is not abandoning satellite systems, but building resilience through multi-sensor integration and interference detection.
Polish firm Rectangle Sp. z o.o. develops GNSS/INS solutions that detect anomalies, maintain system continuity under disruption, and support critical infrastructure and European technological autonomy, including services linked to Galileo.
